Would you like to install a charger for your new EV in your home?
We are the experts at installing EV chargers. Our team has installed some of the largest and fastest chargers currently made. We can install chargers from several different brands based on your preferences. There are a lot of benefits to charging at home versus using public charging stations:
First on the list is cost. Those public charging stations were put there to make money so instead of just paying for the electricity you are also paying the owner of the charger. They may be great on a road trip but if you can charge at home, you will only be paying for the electricity and save a lot of money.
Second is time. When you can charge your car at night at home you don’t have to spend time going out of your way on the way to work or school or wherever to find a public charger. In addition to going out of your way for a charger what if you get there and they are all in use. Then you must wait your turn and add even more time to your day.
Third is peace of mind. Many an EV driver has had the experience of driving to a public charger and finding them out of order, making range anxiety creep in. When you have your own charger at home you don’t have to worry that the last user ran over the plug, or the snowplow driver smashed the whole thing.
Commercial
Commercial EV charging can mean different things to different businesses, so let’s go over a few common ways that we can help you with your charging needs.
One common way that a business leverages EV charging is to own their own chargers at their property and charge the general public to use the chargers. This model can work well depending on the property that you want to put them in. The type of property will also influence your decision to put in Level 2 AC chargers or Level 3 DC chargers. Level 2 chargers are great when people will be in one location for a long time, such as at an apartment building, business/industrial park, or a shopping mall. Level 3 chargers are aimed more at people who are on a road trip and only want to stop for a short time. So, properties like a restaurant right off the highway can be a great location for a level 3. If you don’t know what would work best for your location, reach out and let us help you through the process.
The other common reason for a business to want chargers is because they have an EV or a fleet of EVs that they want to keep charged up and ready to go. In this case the way you use the vehicles will determine the best option for charging. If your EV is being used by a salesman that comes to the office for 15 minutes and then leaves on another sales call frequently then you may want a level 3 charger. If your EV gets driven around town a bit during the day and then is parked at the business overnight, then a level 2 that charges all night may be best. Again, the best thing to do is talk things through with us and we can help you understand the pros and cons of each option.
