Our Process

Our Process: From First Contact to Installation

The journey begins with your first contact—whether it’s a call, email, or form submission. Our goal is to understand your needs and guide you through each step with clear communication and personalized service.

Step 1: Initial Contact

Once we receive your email or form submission, we’ll reach out to you within three business days to discuss your goals and answer any initial questions you may have. At the end of this initial call, you’ll have the option to take the next step or choose to stay in touch with us until you’re ready. If you’re interested in moving forward, we’ll schedule a site visit to explore the available options.

Step 2: Site Visit and Consultation

The site visit marks the beginning of the consultation process, where we assess your property and gather the necessary details to understand your needs. If you’re interested in a solar system installation, having your most recent electric bill on hand during the site visit will help us create an accurate proposal.

Step 3: Proposal Development

After gathering information during the site visit, our team will head back to the office to prepare a proposal, or even multiple proposals, based on the available options to meet your needs. We’ll reach out within two weeks to schedule a follow-up meeting, where we will go over the proposal(s), explain any differences, and answer your questions. This discussion can be done virtually via Zoom for your convenience.

Step 4: Contract and Deposit

If you decide to proceed with one of the proposals, we’ll prepare a contract detailing the scope of work. A $500 deposit will be required upon signing the contract to secure your project.

Step 5: Preparation for Installation

Once the contract is signed, we’ll take care of the necessary preparations for your installation. This includes pulling permits, ordering materials, and coordinating with Central Maine Power (CMP) to obtain authorization for grid-tied solar or battery storage systems (authorization is not needed for generators or off-grid systems).

Step 6: Installation Scheduling

We’ll contact you approximately four weeks before your scheduled installation date and then again about a week before to confirm the timing.

Step 7: Installation and Commissioning

On the installation day, our team will set up your system, perform the necessary commissioning, and thoroughly test everything to ensure it functions properly. Once the system is up and running, you can enjoy the benefits of your new energy solution.

Throughout the entire process, we’re here to support you every step of the way and make sure you’re informed and comfortable with each phase.
